Lafayette County School District

For Fiscal Year 2014 (school year 2013-2014) the Lafayette County School District's MAEP allocation is underfunded by approximately $1,524,710.  Statewide, the Mississippi Adequate Education Program (MAEP) is underfunded by $292-million for the 2013-2014 school year, far below what is required by state law.  From Fiscal Year 2011 through Fiscal Year 2014, the Lafayette County School District lost a total of $5,489,405 as a result of habitual underfunding of MAEP.  Our state can and should do better.  Read more.
